On September 23, 2026, the High Technologies Park (YTP) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and IT Park Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation.

The Memorandum was signed by Nihat Majidov, Chief Executive Officer of High Technologies Park, and Azamat Karamatov, Chief Executive Officer of IT Park Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the cooperation, the parties will collaborate in the following key areas:

- Development of Startup and Innovation Ecosystems – establishing connections between startups in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience;

- Access to International Markets – supporting technology companies and startups operating within the respective ecosystems in accessing each other’s markets and expanding internationally;

- Technology Transfer and Commercialization – fostering cooperation in the development and application of innovative technologies and supporting the realization of their commercial potential;

- Joint Programs and Events – jointly organizing incubation and acceleration programs, startup competitions, business missions, investment events, seminars, and other innovation-focused initiatives;

- Investment and Business Connections – expanding connections among startups, technology companies, investors, and other ecosystem stakeholders;

- Exchange of Knowledge and Experience – facilitating the exchange of expertise in the management of technology parks, innovation infrastructure, services provided to residents, and mechanisms supporting startup development.

In addition, on September 23, 2026, a meeting was held as part of the NEXUS Program, led by Abutab Abbasova, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of High Technologies Park. The meeting focused on opportunities for Uzbek startups to enter the Azerbaijani market, establish connections with potential customers, and develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
