The centre has three floors. The ground floor is open: anyone can walk in and work without booking. The second floor belongs to the resident teams. The third is the lab and prototype studio, and access to it depends on a short safety briefing.

The studio holds three-dimensional printing, laser cutting and an electronics bench. Equipment is booked by the hour, and materials are charged to the teams themselves.

Applications for resident teams open at the start of each quarter. The open floor needs no application at all.
